Dear Members, Parents & Pupils
We hope you’re all well and that you enjoyed watching the DAVIS CUP this past weekend.
Coach Jaden and Coach Ryan from the Tim Armstrong School of Tennis (TAST) ran a very successful FAMILY DAY Round-Robin Tournament, for the parents and juniors of Meadowridge Tennis Club (MTC), this past Sunday. The MTC bar was open the whole afternoon and the fire was alight for those families wanting to stay behind and braai, which was really well supported by a number of families.
The Parent & Child Round-Robin Tennis, as always, was very encouraging to watch and some of our top juniors like Jared and Katherine, had to play with a 19” racket as a handicap 😉 There were also some exhibition matches between Jared and Coach Ryan as well as a very competitive Doubles Exhibition Match between Jared & Katherine against the two TAST Coaches, Jaden & Ryan. Coach Ryan even broke his strings going for a big winner!
It was a lovely afternoon being able to see so many families taking advantage of our wonderful facilities at MTC and especially for the parents to be able to partner their children on the court. The families whom competed in the Round-Robin, were all presented with TAST Certificates for their achievement.
We would like to thank the club for allowing us the use of the courts as well as our sponsors, DUNLOP, DANDO COFFEE and UNDER ARMOUR. Thanks again everyone and we look forward to seeing you at our next Parent & Child Round-Robin at MTC in the new year.
